Description and experienceShow

Finding a dining table that accommodates dinner parties without dominating your room on a daily basis is a common challenge for modern homeowners. Traditional large tables can make a space feel cramped, while smaller options leave you struggling to seat guests during special occasions. The Villalta Home extendable dining table offers a brilliantly engineered solution to this exact dilemma. By combining a space-saving 118cm round profile with a smooth extension mechanism, it instantly expands to a 158cm oval that comfortably seats six. Even better, it solves the issue of dining room clutter by incorporating a discreet storage cabinet right into its sturdy black pedestal base. Discover the joy of effortless entertaining as you transform your dining area in seconds. Your home will benefit from the premium walnut finish that adds instant warmth and sophistication, while the hidden shelves keep your favourite tableware perfectly organised. Enjoy the freedom of a versatile, beautifully designed space that adapts to your life, whether you are enjoying a quiet weekday breakfast or hosting a memorable weekend feast.

This dining table features a rich walnut-toned MDF top that transitions from a perfect circle to an elongated oval shape. It rests upon a substantial, cylindrical black pedestal base equipped with curved sliding doors that reveal internal shelving. The striking contrast between the warm wood-effect surface and the matte black base creates a bold, contemporary silhouette.

Guarantees, usage and supportShow

Technical review and performance

The table utilises a robust MDF construction reinforced with a metal frame to ensure stability during the extension process. The integration of a central storage pedestal provides structural rigidity while offering practical utility for smaller living spaces.

Expert take

What immediately stands out about the Villalta Home extendable dining table is its brilliant approach to space optimisation. While many extending tables leave you wondering where to store the extra leaf or how to hide the mechanism, this model uses its pedestal base to offer genuine utility. The integrated storage compartment with curved sliding doors is a fantastic touch, providing a practical home for napkins, placemats, or glassware right where you need them. The transition from a 118cm round table to a 158cm oval is incredibly smooth, engineered with high-quality metal rails that feel robust and reliable. The walnut and black finish gives it a premium, contemporary edge that punches well above its weight in terms of style. This table is absolutely ideal for those living in modern apartments or homes with open-plan kitchen and dining areas. If you love hosting but want to maintain a spacious feel day-to-day, this is a proven solution. Keep in mind that the pedestal base is quite substantial to accommodate the storage, so you will want to pair it with dining chairs that have a relatively slim profile to ensure they tuck in neatly when not in use.
