Description and experienceShow

Tortoises need a stable, secure environment with the right balance of privacy, space and warmth, and this PawHut wooden enclosure is built with all three in mind. Dual hide boxes give tortoises somewhere private and secure to retreat to, while a middle running area, separated by a divider panel, gives them room to move and explore beyond the hides. A clear acrylic window sits alongside an openable top, letting owners check in, interact or carry out maintenance without disturbing the whole structure each time. One of the more useful features is the adjustable lamp holder, which allows lighting and temperature to be fine-tuned to suit the conditions your tortoise needs, helping create a more comfortable environment inside the enclosure. A storage shelf and fixed tray round out the design, keeping supplies within reach and adding practical structure to the overall build. Altogether, it's a self-contained home designed to sit comfortably in most living spaces while giving tortoises the stability and comfort they need.

Guarantees, usage and supportShow

Technical review and performance

The enclosure is built from wood, chosen for its stability and insulating properties, with a clear acrylic panel providing a viewing window into the interior. An adjustable lamp holder is fitted to allow lighting and heat positioning to be modified, and a divider panel separates the roaming area from the dual hide boxes.

Expert take

The dual hide box design paired with a separate roaming area is a thoughtful approach to tortoise housing, since it recognises that tortoises need both privacy and space to move rather than one open enclosure trying to serve both purposes. The adjustable lamp holder is a genuinely valuable addition too, since getting lighting and temperature right is one of the more important ongoing responsibilities of tortoise care, and having that adjustability built into the enclosure itself simplifies the set-up. This enclosure suits tortoise owners wanting a stable, wooden home that can sit indoors or in a sheltered outdoor spot, with enough structure to support proper husbandry rather than a basic containment box. The acrylic window and openable top make regular interaction and cleaning realistic without needing to dismantle the whole unit, which matters for a home that will likely stay in place for a long time.
